For any of you that haven’t come out of your caves in the last few months, here is a quick run down of what you can expect.  The first of the trio is Assembly, a smallish symmetrical map set in a Scarab factory.  Second is Orbital, an asymmetric human construction.  Last we’ve got Sandbox, which is just what the name implies.  Lots of sand and toys to play with.  Good times.

So hurry up and get to XBL Marketplace or set up the download from your computer because those n00bs aren’t going to kill themselves, now are they?*

*Actually they probably will, but you should kill them, too.  It helps toughen them up:)

This is how NTHAT has spent the last few months, in case you were curious.

Sort of.  I’m pretty sure no member of NTHAT (besides General Browneye) has even picked up a controller in the last month.  I can count the number of times we’ve all gotten together and played some Halo since our last post on one hand.

This is shameful, I know.  But we’ve all gotten ourselves in over our heads.  We need help.  We have an addiction.

To WoW.

Yes, that’s right.  I said it.  NTHAT has put down their controllers and headsets in favor of hotkeys and Vent.  We’re WoW nerds, and the plague is spreading.

It started out with just me.  I bought the game on a whim.  Something to do when I couldn’t get a team together for some real gaming.  But then Lassa and Raven started playing.  Smenis was the lone hold out…until last month.  Now we’re all sucked in.  Personally I miss daylight and human contact.  Ok, not that much.

Anyway, between WoW and real life, we’ve been terrible, terrible bloggers.  I hope to rectify that situation, but as anyone who has ever played *any* RPG knows, it can be hard to pull yourself away.  NTHAT may not be coming back full force any time soon, but we’re going to make an effort to at least chime in from time to time…even if it is about WoW and all the nerdiness therein.

So that’s it.  Our secret is out.  And you know what they say:  admitting it is the first step.

I feel a little bad for hating you.

After the recent TU2 update I sat down to Halo 3 to remember everything that I loved about it. Everything seemed new and fresh with new achievements and the prospect of new maps on the horizon. As I settled into my first few social games in quite sometime (I was doing a little achievement hunting*) I remembered everything that I hated about matchmaking. Not the game but you, the little boy talking smack in the lobby. So here is to you and the difference between me and you.

I am 28.

You still remember what type of cake you had on your 8^th birthday.

I graduated High School 10 yrs ago.

You got your first pube 10 days ago.

I sound like a human being.

Your voice sounds like the amplified scream of a tortured rodent.

I thought about how I owned a car.

You talked nonstop about how you pwned with the sniper rifle.

When people call me “Fatty” it’s ironic.

When people call you fatty, you die a little inside.

When the game was over you told the losing team (by 3 kills) to “sell their game.”

I thought about how your mother must have wanted to sell you when you were born.

When you lost, you told your team they all sucked.

I assumed playing Halo is the only thing you’ve ever been good at.

You played until 3:00 am and then tucked into bed.

I played until midnight…and then got laid.

You’re right, you do pwn.  Congrats little boy!
